CalliMate Privacy Policy
Version 1.2.0. Effective date: 2026-10-14. Applies to the harmony / cn release.
This HarmonyOS CN shell retains the existing domestic SDK and feature baseline and does not add Google/Firebase/AdMob/UMP. App-controlled analytics and diagnostics follow the current privacy choice; withdrawal stops new app-controlled analytics and diagnostics, while SDK base instances, system diagnostics or vendor-automatic behavior may remain. We do not promise that all SDK activity stops.

1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to CalliMate for HarmonyOS, a calligraphy learning and practice product, and related legal, account, feedback, advertising, analytics, sharing, and support services.
2. Information We Process
We may process the following information:
- Account information, such as phone number, nickname, avatar, login token, and account status, if you sign in.
- Device and app information, such as device model, manufacturer, operating system, app version, build number, client platform, package name, distribution channel, installation ID, network status, crash logs, and diagnostics.
- Learning and usage information, such as copybook browsing, favorite content, practice progress, display settings, and in-app operations.
- User-submitted content, such as feedback type, title, text, contact details, screenshots, selected image attachments, imported pictures, shared materials, or practice materials that you actively provide.
- Advertising, analytics, promotion, or anti-abuse data if the related feature or SDK is used, including OAID where allowed by the platform and your consent choices.
3. Permissions
CalliMate for HarmonyOS may request or use network access, app tracking consent, network status, and the system photo picker. The photo picker is used only when you actively select screenshots or images for feedback. If HarmonyOS system backup is enabled by you, app data may be backed up according to your system settings.
4. HarmonyOS Feature Details
The app requests Legal Center pages with product line, document type, client platform, and locale so that it can display the correct Privacy Policy or Terms of Service.
When you submit feedback, we process the feedback type, title, content, contact details, selected screenshots or image attachments, attachment metadata, app version, build number, installation ID, device manufacturer, device model, and OS version to handle the ticket and troubleshoot problems.
After you agree to the Privacy Policy, Huawei AdsKit may be used to request ads and OAID for ad delivery, frequency control, and measurement. Our own promotion center may request promotion configuration and report impressions, clicks, jumps, or skip events with product line, platform, package name, app version, installation ID, locale, placement, campaign, and material identifiers.
When you actively use WeChat, Weibo, DingTalk, or system sharing, the text, image, link, mini program, or other content you choose to share will be passed to the selected platform. The selected platform processes data under its own rules.
5. Use of Information
We use information to provide calligraphy learning features, maintain account and feedback services, improve content and stability, protect security, handle disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
6. Third-Party Services
CalliMate may integrate account, feedback, Umeng Analytics and APM, Huawei AdsKit, our promotion center, WeChat Open SDK, Weibo SDK, DingTalk sharing, payment, or platform SDKs. Third-party providers may process information according to their own privacy policies. We will keep third-party use limited to the relevant feature and update disclosures when material changes occur.
Current HarmonyOS third-party SDKs and services include:
- Huawei AdsKit / OAID (
@kit.AdsKit,identifier.getOAID) for ad requests, measurement, frequency control, and anti-abuse after your privacy consent and platform tracking/OAID authorization. - Umeng Analytics and APM (
@umeng/analytics,@umeng/apm,@umeng/common) for analytics, event reporting, performance monitoring, and diagnostics after your privacy consent. - WeChat Open SDK (
@tencent/wechat_open_sdk) for sharing content to WeChat or handling WeChat callbacks when you actively use the feature. - Weibo SDK for HarmonyOS (
core.har/core) for sharing content to Weibo or handling Weibo authorization and sharing callbacks when you actively use the feature. - DingTalk sharing SDK (
@dingtalk/ddsharesdk) for sharing content to DingTalk or handling DingTalk sharing callbacks when you actively use the feature. - QQ Open SDK / HarmonyOS sharing (
@tencent/qq-open-sdk/ HarmonyOS ShareKit) for QQ or system sharing when you actively use the feature. - Our own promotion center for first-party app promotion configuration, impressions, clicks, jumps, and skip events.
7. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, platform providers, legal authorities, or other parties with your consent or as required by law.
8. Storage and Security
We retain information only for the period necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless law requires otherwise. We use reasonable safeguards such as access control, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, and logging.
9. Your Rights
You may access, correct, delete, or withdraw consent for your information where supported by law and product capability. You may manage app permissions through the operating system or contact contact@chenghanbowen.com.
10. Minors
If a minor uses CalliMate, a guardian should read this Policy and guide the minor's use.
11. Updates
We may update this Policy when product features, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The latest version is published by the WoolMate Legal Center.
Children's Personal Information Protection Rules
This is a standalone children's personal information section within this Privacy Policy. “Child” means a minor under 14. CalliMate is a general calligraphy learning tool and is not specifically directed to children.
When the app is first opened or asks for privacy consent again, if the user may be under 14, a guardian should read this section and this Policy first and decide whether to consent. Before guardian consent, you may continue to use Basic Services that do not depend on that consent. Processing that needs separate consent or an active request occurs only when its stated conditions are met. We do not ask children to provide a birthday, age, identity document, or similar information for routine use.
Current processing facts for this platform:
- Local content: Calligraphy content, search history, favorites, and browsing preferences continue to be stored mainly on the device; copybook, rubbing, system-share, and HarmonyOS backup operations follow the corresponding system capability when you actively use them. The three platforms currently provide no account registration or sign-in.
- Active feedback, installation, device, and SDK data: When you actively submit feedback, feedback type, title, content, contact details, selected screenshots or image attachments, product line, platform, package, version/build, distribution channel, installation ID, device maker/model, and OS version are used for issue location, ticket handling, and response. HarmonyOS AdsKit/OAID, Umeng OAID/AAID, device/network, page/tap/performance information, and first-party promotion installation, slot, and interaction events are described in the relevant sections of this Policy.
The retention period, storage location, sharing scope, and handling by third-party services for children's information are described in the corresponding storage, sharing, and third-party service sections of this Policy. When a guardian makes a request, we handle it under this Policy and applicable law; previously submitted feedback or saved data is not automatically deleted.
A guardian may contact contact@chenghanbowen.com to request access to, correction or deletion of children's personal information, or withdrawal of the related consent. To prevent impersonation, we perform only necessary and proportionate verification for an application. If we discover that children's personal information was processed without guardian consent, we will stop the related processing and delete or anonymize it as required by applicable law.
Privacy Choices and Withdrawal
Use the app's Privacy Choices/Privacy Management entry in Settings to review the current state or choose again. If you previously consented, confirm “Withdraw Privacy Consent” before switching to Basic Services; canceling that confirmation leaves the existing choice unchanged. Resuming the relevant optional features requires your explicit consent and does not replay prior ad requests or impressions. Withdrawal cancels current ad preparation and pending presentation, stops new advertising requests, and disables optional analytics and diagnostics controlled by the app. Basic features that do not depend on that consent remain available. SDK base instances, system diagnostics, or vendor-automatic behavior may still exist or run; this does not mean all SDKs automatically stop and does not guarantee zero SDK activity before consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed or automatically delete submitted feedback or previously saved data. Deletion requests use the existing contact and handling procedures. The app's main privacy choice is separate from system permissions and personalized-ad settings. This shell does not add the Global Android/iOS Google/Firebase/AdMob/UMP route.
