DevMate Privacy Policy

Version 1.2.0. Effective date: 2026-10-14. Applies to the harmony / cn release.

This HarmonyOS CN shell retains the existing domestic SDK and feature baseline and does not add Google/Firebase/AdMob/UMP. App-controlled analytics and diagnostics follow the current privacy choice; withdrawal stops new app-controlled analytics and diagnostics, while SDK base instances, system diagnostics or vendor-automatic behavior may remain. We do not promise that all SDK activity stops.

This English version is provided for convenience. If this version differs from the Chinese version, the Chinese version will prevail to the extent permitted by applicable law.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to DevMate for HarmonyOS, a developer utility product, and related legal, account, feedback, advertising, analytics, reminder, and support services.

2. Information We Process

DevMate is designed primarily for local utility use. Depending on the features you use, we may process:

  • Account information, such as phone number, nickname, avatar, login token, and account status, if you sign in.
  • Device and app information, such as device manufacturer, device model, operating system, app version, build number, client platform, package name, distribution channel, installation ID, network status, crash logs, and diagnostics.
  • Tool usage information, such as feature access, settings, favorites, operation logs, and product interaction records.
  • Data you actively enter into tools, such as text, URLs, JSON, timestamps, colors, QR code content, commands, or deep link test input. Unless a specific online feature requires upload, tool input is processed locally.
  • Feedback information, such as feedback type, title, text, contact details, selected screenshots or image attachments, attachment metadata, and handling records.
  • Schedule, memo, tool-input, QR code, clipboard-copy, and reminder data that you create or actively process in the app. These items are generally processed locally unless you submit, share, or synchronize them through a network feature.
  • Advertising, analytics, promotion, or anti-abuse data if the related feature or SDK is used, including OAID where allowed by the platform and your consent choices.

3. Permissions

DevMate for HarmonyOS may request or use network access, app tracking consent, network status, background agent reminder, system notification authorization, the system photo picker, and clipboard write access. Permissions are used only for related features such as reminders, QR code or text tools, feedback, selected image attachments, advertising, analytics, or account services.

4. HarmonyOS Feature Details

The app requests Legal Center pages with product line, document type, client platform, and locale so that it can display the correct Privacy Policy or Terms of Service.

Deep link testing, JSON or text processing, timestamp conversion, QR code tools, color tools, device information display, schedule, and memo features are usually handled on-device. If you copy a result, the app writes the selected result to the system clipboard.

When you create reminders, the app uses your schedule title, time, repeat rule, note, notification setting, and system reminder capability to display local reminders. Reminder delivery can be affected by notification settings, background limits, battery optimization, or OS behavior.

When you submit feedback, we process the feedback type, title, content, contact details, selected screenshots or image attachments, attachment metadata, app version, build number, installation ID, device manufacturer, device model, and OS version to handle the ticket and troubleshoot problems.

After you agree to the Privacy Policy, Huawei AdsKit may be used to request ads and OAID for ad delivery, frequency control, and measurement. Our own promotion center may request promotion configuration and report impressions, clicks, jumps, or skip events with product line, platform, package name, app version, installation ID, locale, placement, campaign, and material identifiers.

5. Use of Information

We use information to provide developer tools, maintain account and feedback services, improve product quality, diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

6. Third-Party Services

DevMate may integrate account, feedback, Umeng Analytics and APM, Huawei AdsKit, our promotion center, payment, advertising, or platform SDKs. Third-party providers process data under their own policies. We will keep such use limited to necessary features and update disclosures when material changes occur.

7. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, platform providers, legal authorities, or other parties with your consent or as required by law.

8. Storage and Security

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law. We use reasonable security measures including access control, encryption where appropriate, logging, and monitoring.

9. Your Rights

You may access, correct, delete, or withdraw consent for your information where supported by law and product capability. You may manage app permissions through the operating system or contact contact@chenghanbowen.com.

10. Minors

DevMate is not primarily directed to children. If you are a minor, use the service with the consent and guidance of your guardian.

11. Updates

We may update this Policy when product features, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The latest version is published by the WoolMate Legal Center.

Children's Personal Information Protection Rules

This is a standalone children's personal information section within this Privacy Policy. “Child” means a minor under 14. DevMate is a general developer tool and is not specifically directed to children.

When the app is first opened or asks for privacy consent again, if the user may be under 14, a guardian should read this section and this Policy first and decide whether to consent. Before guardian consent, you may continue to use Basic Services that do not depend on that consent. Processing that needs separate consent or an active request occurs only when its stated conditions are met. We do not ask children to provide a birthday, age, identity document, or similar information for routine use.

Current processing facts for this platform:

  • Local content: Deeplink testing, JSON/text processing, timestamp, QR, color, device-information, schedule, and memo tools and their local data continue to be processed mainly on the device. The three platforms currently provide no account registration or sign-in.
  • Active feedback, installation, device, and SDK data: When you actively submit feedback, feedback type, title, content, contact details, selected screenshots or image attachments, product line, platform, package, version/build, distribution channel, installation ID, device maker/model, and OS version are used for issue location, ticket handling, and response. HarmonyOS AdsKit/OAID, Umeng OAID/AAID, device/network, page/tap/performance information, and first-party promotion installation, slot, and interaction events are described in the relevant sections of this Policy.

The retention period, storage location, sharing scope, and handling by third-party services for children's information are described in the corresponding storage, sharing, and third-party service sections of this Policy. When a guardian makes a request, we handle it under this Policy and applicable law; previously submitted feedback or saved data is not automatically deleted.

A guardian may contact contact@chenghanbowen.com to request access to, correction or deletion of children's personal information, or withdrawal of the related consent. To prevent impersonation, we perform only necessary and proportionate verification for an application. If we discover that children's personal information was processed without guardian consent, we will stop the related processing and delete or anonymize it as required by applicable law.

Privacy Choices and Withdrawal

Use the app's Privacy Choices/Privacy Management entry in Settings to review the current state or choose again. If you previously consented, confirm “Withdraw Privacy Consent” before switching to Basic Services; canceling that confirmation leaves the existing choice unchanged. Resuming the relevant optional features requires your explicit consent and does not replay prior ad requests or impressions. Withdrawal cancels current ad preparation and pending presentation, stops new advertising requests, and disables optional analytics and diagnostics controlled by the app. Basic features that do not depend on that consent remain available. SDK base instances, system diagnostics, or vendor-automatic behavior may still exist or run; this does not mean all SDKs automatically stop and does not guarantee zero SDK activity before consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed or automatically delete submitted feedback or previously saved data. Deletion requests use the existing contact and handling procedures. The app's main privacy choice is separate from system permissions and personalized-ad settings. This shell does not add the Global Android/iOS Google/Firebase/AdMob/UMP route.
